Hi there, welcome to Tshirthelpdesk.com!
My name is Gary. I have been working as a brand graphic designer for 20 years now, and here I am to share my wealth of knowledge with you. I teach people how to design, market, promote their t-shirt business.
In this blog, I am going to share a trend with you that can explode your t-shirt business and make you a lot of money.
There’s a trend that is going on for a couple of years now, and at first, people thought that it is going to fade. But it exploded, and the trend name is Athleisure. It is a combination of both athletic and leisurewear.
First, it was just a trend, then it became a catchphrase, and now it is a legitimate category in the clothing industry.
To sum it up in my opinion, it is considered either stylish activewear or stylish athletic wear.
You can view it is a blurring of the lines in terms of clothing, and here you have something that you can wear to the gym, wear around running errands, and you can also wear that later on that night on a date.
Now, if you go into the YouTube search bar and you type in “athleisure”, then you are going to see a lot of people telling you about what it means, how to wear it, and how to style it with sneakers, watches, etc.
But, no one is telling you how to make money out of it, and how to build a brand.
But don’t worry, I am here to help you!
So right now, we are going to see what athleisure looks like:
Athleisure clothing is a mix of athletic clothing styles, done tastefully.
It is a stylish activewear that consists of a lot of different types of sweatsuits, tracksuits, jogger pants, and t-shirts.
But, the key here is that they are stylish, they sit well, and they are very tapered to the body.
So, this is something that you can wear out, and if need be, you can show off your physique. Here’s a photo of Sylvester Stallone and LeBron James:
Now, this goes for both men, as well as women:
Athleisure clothing was started for women. So, there are a lot of leggings, yoga pants, crop tops, and hoodies:
Athleisure is all for everyone who is able to go to the gym, run errands, and possibly go out on a date wearing the same outfit.
So, let’s get into some specific styles that can you can use for your line. You can use these styles to start an athleisure brand, or you can add these to your existing line.
1.) Matching Sweat Suits
Check out all the stuff that was popping in the 80s and 90s that’s made a comeback:
In many cases, it is a lot sleeker and more tailored — which tapers to the body.
Also, this athleisure style is not just for men, but it is for women as well:
In many cases, these might also have crop tops, where you can accessorize these with sneakers and not only dress shoes. So, as I said, you can wear this style to the gym, and you can wear it on a date as well.
Now, Bella+Canvas has some great styles already created so that you can buy these, and achieve the same look without any extra hassle.
For instance, you can get the style 3739 Unisex Sponge Fleece full zip hoodie, and it is a great style that looks great with t-shirts and bottom wear. Also, it comes in a lot of great colors:
2.) Joggers
Joggers are the staple of athleisure clothing, and they seal the look of athleisure clothing:
These are fashionable and stylish, but in many cases, they are tailored and tapered to the body to give that sleek and stylish look:
Now, if you want to add something like this to your brand, then you can go to Bella+Canvas and get the style 3727 Unisex Jogger Sweatpants:
You can buy them, print them, brand them, and you can also add this to the bottom of your hoodie to make a matching sweatsuit.
3.) Leggings
Leggings for women are a staple for that athleisure look. It’s a great look, and once again, it is something that looks good in the gym for running errands, and it can be dressed up, or dressed down.
The great thing is that it can also be printed, and this is a great way to brand your leggings. Of course, Bella+Canvas got you covered for this!
The style is: 0813 Women High Waist Fitness Legging:
4.) Sweats and Fleece
The sweats in general (hoodies, kangaroo pocket hoodies, crop top hoodies, sweatshirts, zip front hoodies, joggers, etc.) all fall under the category of athleisure clothing.
The great thing about this is that the prices of sweats from Bella+Canvas (from the wholesale point of view) is $12, and these are garments that you can sell from $60-$100.
Now, look at the profit margin that you can make from starting an athleisure clothing line, or adding athleisure to your collections under your existing brand could increase astronomically.
5.) Crop tops
These are sporty, sexy, and fashionable athleisure styles at their best.
Now, if you want to do this, you can go to Bella+Canvas< and check out the 7502 Women’s Cropped Fleece Hoodie:
It’s already created and made for you by Bella+Canvas. You don’t have to go anywhere else, so just order them, print them, add your tags and labels, and you have your athleisure line.

How The Athleisure Clothing Is Exploding
Beyonce has a line called Ivy Park, and it is a collaboration with Adidas. It’s activewear and leisurewear — i.e. athleisure — and it sold out in a week.
Now, some of you would say that this is because of Beyonce!
Also, if you go to Beast Mode Jones YouTube channel, he has an athleisure apparel line called PumpChasers, and it is crazy!
I mean, he sells this stuff like crazy, and he wears this stuff to the gym, and then goes out to cut a rug. Also, he wears some of his styles to both the club and the gym.
This athleisure thing is crazy, and while using Bella+Canvas, you do not have to cut and sew, or have a whole bunch of things customized. You can buy these styles and print them, so that you can add this crazy exploding trend called athleisure in your line.
Alright, guys, whenever you start doing this, make sure that you brand your stuff as “athleisure”, because people are wanting to do this. They want to dress like this, and they put under the term “athleisure” in search bars while buying such clothes.
So, brand you stuff as “athleisure” (if applicable).
