There are simple things that you’ll need to start your t-shirt business. For those of you have started a t-shirt business, these tips will help you boost up your business.
Starting from the fourth tip, I will give you a list of four simple tips that will help your get your t-shirt business off the ground, or boost the one you already have.
4. Your design game
Guys, here are a few truths. If you are not a graphic designer, do not design t-shirts. The truth is, if you do not have at least five years of design experience, then do not design t-shirts. These experiences should include graphics design, some calligraphy experience, an artiste, drawer or a painter experience. If you do not have any of these, PLEASE do not design. This is because your design idea might look good to YOU…even your friends and family are going to tell you that it looks great. However, it is not going to look appealing to your target market.
Hire a professional graphics designer. Websites like 99designs, DesignCrowd, and Fiverr offer you access to professional graphic designers who will work on your graphics, and deliver.
3. The blank
Put care into the kind of blanks you use. There are so many companies out there selling blanks for as low as a dollar. The t-shirt that you use should look and feel great. What you want to do is give the best quality for the highest price. You want to have something that is a little bit different from what is generally available on the market. I personally recommend Bella+Canvas blanks. They offer great fits and a great feel for a really good price. Personally, I believe that their price is the best in the industry. They offer so many different styles for both men and women. Do check them out. Their t-shirts will make great blanks for your t-shirt company.
2. Print on demand t-shirt companies
These companies make it easy for you to start a t-shirt company with little or no money. You put up your T-shirt design, pick a blank (Most of these companies have Bella+Canvas on their deck). The company prints your design on the shirts, packages them, and delivers them to the person that you want them sent to. You add your own price on the price quotation given by the print on demand companies. The difference is your profit.
1. Create a website
This is very important when starting a t-shirt business. Previously, you had to use WordPress to get a website, and the learning process is quite long. Personally, I recommend Shopify. This is a full package. With Shopify, you do not have to worry about hosting or designing the site.
